Ripped off and broken promises

We paid almost 20 thousand Canadian dollars and were shown great deals when we were in the office only to find out that no such deals are available. We booked through them and paid more than we would have if we booked elsewhere. We booked with them so we could receive our points which we never did. We were also promised 2500 points for renewing for 5 years and received nothing. At the time we were also promised a weeks free vacation at a Mexican resort which they have not honoured. They are unreaxhable and will not give what they promised. Where do we go to try and get our money back??? It will be a year in February since we signed the contract and paid in full. So very disheartening and maddening that they can get away with this

One big Scam

My husband and I travelled to Los Cabos for a nice relaxing week. We were greeted at our hotel by this timeshare company offering a free breakfast. We thought it was part of the hotel hospitality until we were held hostage for hours listening to a travel solutions pitch. They made it sound so inviting $949.00 dollars/year for 4 weeks that could be used anywhere in the world. Told us we would receive membership card by mail within 2 weeks and could use January 1st. I called at the end of December stating I had not received my card or access to the website. I was told I had to wait 27 days to activate my account but they would try to get approval sooner. I knew they were stalling because we had paid with a Visa card with a 30 day window to dispute the charge. January 2nd we were able to get thru to express travel solutions and they informed us it was $949/week instead of $949/year. We could go on any website to obtain that deal and would have never signed up if that was the case. We disputed the charge with our credit card and are still waiting for it to be resolved. When we tried to contacted Eddie Nowak (the manager) he had changed his contact number 3 times within a month. These people are nothing but scammers! and to date have never received anything by mail.

Total scam. Contact Profeco, a consumer protection agency, located in the CATTAC building at the Cabo Marina.

Register complaint against Bloom Residences, which is not a legitimate company. Google their contact info.

Won't Honor Contract

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought the package at Los Cabos Golf Resort. Eddy Nowak was the salesman, and we thought it was going to be the chance for us to finally start vacationing. Immediately after we purchased it May 21, 2018 (paying cash) they informed us that we couldn't start using it until January 1, 2019. When we bought it, the whole time we told them we wanted to use it for our 30th wedding anniversary in September. They never mentioned in the paperwork, or in verbal conversations that we would have to wait. I only found out the day after the purchase when I went back to the salesman and asked him to help me schedule my first vacation. We waited until January 1st to use it, and were told by Express Travel that I needed to wait until January 20th to use it. I waited until January 20th and they said that they couldn't give me my vacation points until I worked it out with the main person they contract sales through. I have contacted their contract people, and they said that because I received a discounted price on the package that I had to wait 2 YEARS to use the package. Since that time I have been on the phone with Express Travel and their contract folks trying to either get my money back, or to get my points. I have called or contacted them via email over 15 times in the past 30 days, and they keep telling me that they have to have their supervisor look at it, or that the person they need to talk to isn't available, or any other excuse. I think Travel Solutions and the contractor are not honoring their contract and I will seeking a lawyer to help me get my money back. This is one big scam, and you won't receive your points if you purchase their membership. Buyer beware.

We were also scammed by Eddy Nowak/Bloom Residences in Cabo at Los Cabos Golf Resort. Broken promises, stalling tactics and efforts to book travel only if we paid additional fees & maintenance fees even though this was not in the contract.

When I called Eddy was never available and did not respond to emails.

Thoroughly disgusted that we fell for this scam. We strongly recommend that you not have any business dealings with Eddy Nowak, Bloom Residences and/or Express Travel Solutions.

The same thing happened to us. Did you ever get your money back?

I plan on contacting anyone they have taken money from and try to work together to get our money back. If I have to find an attorney I will and start a class action law suit against them

Update: My credit card company was able to get full reimbursement for me. They found that Express Travel/Bloom Residencies did not fulfill obligations.

Did not get what I was sold

I bought a timeshare through Bloom Residences in Cabo 5/2/17 for $10,000. I was told I would get 4 weeks a year, but could give up usage and get paid a marketing credit for 5 years for $4,800 a year (with 1 st year credited in the reduction of price of purchase) and in addition would get up to 560,000 in credits through express travel solutions at a discounted rate of $950 to activate the credits. In addition, I paid a $985 fee to Brevan Asset Management to activate the marketing contract. As of 4/4/18, I have not received the $4,800 in marketing money I was promised, nor the credits through Express Travel Solutions. When I have tried to reach Bloom Residences, I have got no response and when my friend went by their office in Cabo, no one was there. I am still hoping to get my marketing money, but think I may have been scammed. I suggest avoiding Bloom residences and Brevan Asset Management if you are in Cabo!

We are in exactly the same position. Brevan has since closed their doors and filed for bankruptcy.

I received an email from them stating that they are insolvent and filing for bankruptcy on April 3, 2020. I have reached out to Express Travel Solution in an attempt to get our reward credits, but without success. At first they seem willing to help, but then pass you off to someone else. Ricky Diaz of Express even confirmed for me that Brevan did indeed rent out our unit.

They just chose not to pay us. Therefore, they breached the contract. I just emailed them recently for an update and the response was that I have a marketing contract with Brevan, therefore I can't receive the reward credits. I had to again explain that Brevan was bankrupt.

I forwarded the email to them for a second time. I told them that since they facilitated the contract for Brevan at the time of sale they are partially responsible for Brevan's breach of contract. Because Brevan cannot (and did not) honor the contract, we should awarded our reward credits of 560,000 annually. We paid upfront and have gotten nothing in return.

I don't know if there are any Mexican authorities that we can contact. Wondering if you may have gotten any updates?

We got scammed by Brevan management working with express travel solutions. They were supposed to sell our existing timeshare after purchasing their‘s.

They scammed us out of closing fees along with buying a timeshare and never sold our previous time share now we own two . I want to make sure that express travel solutions is at least legit to plan a trip through being that we got screwed out of them selling our timeshare.

Guest

Brevan Asset Management is a scam. They never sold my other timeshare like they said they would if we bought their timeshare Through express trouble solutions now I own two timeshares.

They even took our money that we paid for closing costs and never gave it back and never saw her at their timeshare. I tried for a year and even stop taking my calls they are a fraud company.

Guest

I just wanted to let you know that there is a correct way to resolve your issue. Me personally at first it was a headache thought I was never going to get nowhere but I called them and followed the proper procedure and called my Express Travel Solution customer service and they were very helpful in handling my issues and problems I would advise you to do the same

Dear Member just to remind you Brevan Asset Management is a third party for marketing your weeks. You are not obliged to market of your weeks with them it is totally up to your discretion.

However, you have received your money for 2017 already it was deducted from the purchase price as credited. Also, you state that you have a marketing contract with Brevan Asset Management for five years you can either have one or the other the $4,800 USD or the reward credits but due to the fact that you have a contract with Brevan Asset Management you can not have the reward credits you can not have both and expect to make money both ways. You can contact Brevan Asset Management via phone and email I will provide you with there phone number so you can contact them directly yourself it is the following 1-87*-***-**** as well you can email them at customerservice@***.com. I as well have already contacted them and informed them of this they have told me they are waiting for your call and be more than happy assisting you.

If I may remind you as well that you can also contact your customer service department at the following number 1-80*-***-**** or email customerservice@***.info.

I hope this information helps you it has been a pleasure assisting you.Good day. Tony Vela.

You can call Breven as much as you want they will stop taking your calls or hang up on you. I tried for almost a year and they never sell my timeshare and stop taking my calls and now I’m out 10,000 for a timeshare that was never sold because I obviously don’t need two timeshares.

SCAMMERS!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
NEVER will I recommend express travel services to ANYONE. The company did not deliver what was promised after One year of negotiating with them (1,000US DOLLARS). I called and spoke with A Cristina Romero, she kept promising the refund after a number of calls and emails. She kept talking sweet to me so that i would agree to wait and send them emails about sending proof that I wouldn't use the account. They even told me the refund was on the way and to expect it in a week or so. I allowed two weeks to pass to give it enough time for me to receive it. When I called back asking about the refund that supposedly had been sent they said Cristina R. No longer worked there. They put me on the phone with a Maria that told me that I had to call back. I called back the next day and said Maria had answered the phone. They didn't know who maria was. I asked to speak to Cristina once again and they put me on hold. Alex reyes came back on the phone and said he didn't know if cristina worked there anymore. I called back the next day and spoke with a manager. The so called manager then told me that finance had denied my request for refund when the entire time I was being told they said to send out all the info, emails, contract, etc so that they could refund the money. This is a lesson well learned but will never recommend them or their unprofessionalism and lying people to anyone. What a bad experience, HORRIBLE!!! DONT BE FOOLED THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!

Resolved: Bloom Residences Express Travel Solutions SCAM

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Jul 15, 2017

After lengthy issues with my existing timeshare company we were able to resolve issues with Express Travel and others involved. My payment has been satisfactorily refunded.

Original review Mar 16, 2017
I just wanted to warn people not to purchase a timeshare from Bloom Residences or Express Travel Solutions. We bought back in January 2016 after a very enticing timeshare presentation. They promised to but our current timeshare for good money in order to purchase property at Bloom Residences. We paid $5000 upfront and was promised everything would be completed within 60 days. They supposedly sent our money to Brevin Asset Management who is apparently also in on it. They NEVER return phone calls, and whenever I call the "manger" is never available, and will never call back. They keep promising things but here it is 15 months later and still nothing to show for my money. They have come up with every excuse in the book. I even paid another $950 to "activate" the account through Brevin. I was naïve hoping to get something better than we already had. Please don't fall for the same scam. You might as well throw your money into the wind.

Same exact experience. Spent money to activate and sell them our weeks.

Promised payment in November...nothing. No phone to contact...only email.

No responses to email....no returned pone calls. Complete scam!

Guest

Having similar problem. We sold two timeshare for some Bloom Residences property.

Problem is - our timeshares don't think they are sold and are after us for maintenance fees.

No one will respond to my many e-mails.

Does anyone know of some government agency that I could contact and report a fraud claim?

Guest

We met Freddy last week and he tried to *** us out of selling our timeshare and buying into Express Travel Solutions points program through Hyatt. We just needed to pay up front $6500 on credit card.

It sounded like a good deal but thank goodness I figured it out before it was charged.

It was after I googled the company and his name that I figured it out. Beware of the scammers trying to buy you out of your timeshare for a better deal.
